    Computer help...

I’d like to wipe my laptop clean and hopefully get it back to factory spec.

I have all of the restore disks but I’ve never done this before to a computer; could someone help me out. I put the first restore disk in and a prompt came up that told me that this is a restore disk and that I need to restart the computer with this disk in the drive. It also cautioned that I should read the user manual (which I don’t have) before proceeding.

What do I need to know.

    Thanks in advance.

If you want to just use the restore disk do what it says. I've never been a fan of these. I usually just format the drive and reinstall windows, that is if i want a clean slate to start from again.

It's basically saying you're going to lose everything you have on your computer, all your personal data.

If you're okay with that, just dive in :o
