My 86 325es got around 28 highway MPG, and my 88 325i cabrio gets about 26 highway, and that's with the 3.73 rear axle.
Both cars were "chipped" with generic one's from ebay.sigpic

My new-to-me '89 325ix: 16 to 17 around down, 22 to 23 on the highway. But I drive it hard, and it is an automatic.sigpic

I get 27mpg on the highway in my 533i, around 24mpg combined... In a 3200lb+ car. Why does the M20 even exist?
Go M50. Or better yet, be a man and go M30... M30s have big hairy manly balls.'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5
