    Where to go in Hawaii

    Gruppe:

Will be in Hawaii (near Waikiki) for business later this week through early part of next week. Any suggestions as to where to go (eat, drink, etc)? I'll have a rental car (can't be my e30 with me) so I'd like to explore a bit. I'm also thinking surfing lessons. I know there's at least one member here who's from HI so please give me your suggestions. Thanks.

When I was a kid, we went to Kauii. I was only 10, but I still remember every second of the trip. I had a blast.

The Red Lion for drinks, a cool under street dive bar that has bands and hot chic's Wed-Sat. But is known for fights. Also there is a good Irish bar just acrosso the way.

Hernado's hideway used to be the best place to go but is now closed. Sucks ass.

Luer street fish market, great dinner of local catch's. Or Fattie's in the International Market, open way late 3 am for all you drunk aircrew members.

Here check out this sight www.baseops.net check places to stay.

You NEED to rent ATV's and ride up Waimea Falls.

And if you make it to Haunama Bay to go snorkeling, walk along the lava rocks around the point on the left, and there's this cool thing called the "toilet bowl" and there's also this lava tube that you can swim through.

Hey, good thread, i'm going in december (Honolulu Marathon, oh yea)

I pretty much have one question, is the drinking age the same as mainland US, 21? If so, i'm screwed, i'll still be 19, and therefore i'll have pretty much nothing to do for 2 weeks!

Yeah, usually the national law applies to us :P And why not come to my island and run the ironman :P

I dunno, O'ahu sucks. It's the biggest city in the state, but I'm not a city person, so I hate it :P I would recommend at least 1 trip around the island, it's pretty nice on the outside of the city.
