going to look at my new car 1989 325is today, the only part i can get today is an oil filter, what else can i do to the engine, eg cleaning without having to buy new parts. I am picking up timing belt and tensioner tomorrow morning. thanks guys,

Is it the 4door you was looking at? Also you can pick up a can of degreaser and clean up the engine bay.

      yep

yes its the 4 door, its in really good shape, except for some rust. Not too concerned about the rust, i will grind, cut and scrape it out, it will be beautiful when done. I think i may clean the engine up a bit.

They're really hard to find, very elusive creatures. They go by the name 'Auto Partus Storicus'

I was in AutoZone today and I saw it there. I think I will get a couple of bottles and sell them to you for triple the price.
