    OBC swap

I'm looking at an ETA with a 9 button OBC right now, I want to swap it into my 1988 325 inplace of my 6 button. It'll work, right? Or is the OBC configured to the ETA engine only? Thanks.

You may need the control unit and wiring harness for it. AFAIK

Let's say you won't want the OBC horn. It is the horn that sounds when your CODE is entered in 3 times wrongly. I wouldn't worry about it.

You need the entire wiring harness, the computer, the OBC unit, mounting screws for the computer, the turn signal lever if you want the cycling of the OBC mode from the lever.

The harness is the hardest thing to dig out, the OBC horn WILL be the hardest if you want that — it's routed through the bodywork. Good luck getting that out. You'll want to pull the HVAC panel, steering wheel (if you're good you won't have to), cluster, drop the underdash panel.

It's nice having the 13 button. The 6 button is measly in comparision. I have other plans than my 13 button though :D
