    Started BMW STEP today...

Boy this is gonna be a kick in the ass. Im already having sooo much information thrown at me, It's amazing just what I learned on the first day. 7 months of intensive training awaits me, and I'm excited. :)

Sometime I'll try and borrow someone's digital camera so i can take some pictures of the facility, because words cant describe how cool it is. In each of the stalls in the bathroom, theres a stack of Roundel magazines!

Theres a few STEP campus's around the country... one here in Phoenix, and also locations in Florida, Houston, and New Jersey.

Even before I graduate I'll be placed in a BMW dealership somewhere. I'll have all the credentials to be a BMW Master Technician... all I'll need is 3 years of dealership experience after I graduate to actually become one.

Good to hear you are in the program now man.
I am waiting for my sponsorship from Cutter so I can go, hopefully next fall. I will then be on a contract with cutter motors so I don't have to guess what dealer I will be transferred to.

Good luck with everthing man, keep me posted!!

I am being trained as a bumper to bumper tech (everything).

To get into STEP you wanna start out buy getting an automotive technology degree. Then you can arrange to apply to the program, and if everything goes well, you'll be accepted! Most people think that you have to go to UTI beforehand to get into STEP... you dont, but it does help... One thing you can do (like Ryan) after you get a diploma is to go to a dealership directly and ask them if they would like to sponsor you in the program.

Red325es, what schedule are you in, morning or afternoon? You should meet up with the BMW gang around here... we'd love to have another E30!
