Any Thule or Yakima bar set for a rain gutter fitment will work. Then just buy the bike racks you like. Too bad I sold mine last year!

My vote is for THULE ("toolee" not "thool" for the love of god!). I have had them - and loved them.
'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

I've had both brands (Y & T) and despite liking the Thule attachments better, I like the round bar of the Yaks, especially if you carry scissors for skis/boards, as you can rotate them flat the days you aren't going riding.

It's a toss-up. I have Thule bars on the Landcruiser, but I might go Yak if I buy bars for the E30 - I hate wind noise in the car, but I can't hear the wind over the sound of my mud tires in the L/C.

They make little adapters too so you can use 1 brands' attachments on the other makers' bars - so shop it around & choose for yourself - neither is bad, just comes down to user preference.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Buy the thule rack from bavauto. It is by far the cheapest place to get it. I got mine for only $120 with feet and cross bars.

I actually found everything locally on craigslist. Got the bars, feet AND locks for like $50. It wasn't a bad deal! :)

$120 for the bars and feet is a REALLY good deal.

I know. I thought it was a mistake at first since most places charge $120 for just the feet so I emailed them to make sure before I bought it.

I have thule that fits the E30's. No bike rack, but it does have the cross bars and feet that attach to the E30 rain channels.

Use to use it for snowboarding, now I have a 4x4 truck.

P.M me if intersted, I would be willing to part with it.
