Ya it dosn't look right without the letters but that will change soon enough.
I honestly don't know what front bar it is I pruchased it from RcWells on this board for $60 and he got it from someone else and it was to narrow for his car.
It is Aluminum construction and is nice and light but it was to long for my car and I had to try with all my might to get the thing on there. I've looked every where on it and there are no markings what so ever so I'm not sure if it was a home made deal or what.

Next time you fly down this direction you can clean it for me How does that sound
I did take a rag to the passenger side under the washer resivor and coil and cleaned it the Water was BLACK afterwards. When ever I yank the engine I'll give it a good scrubbing. I've got a spair intake manifold in the attic and will probally paint it one of these days and toss it in.
and 87 and ealier engine bay is easier to clean as there is not so much stuff in the way like ABS unit, coolant resivor and all that.

I simply question the utility of the genuine part in question, (call me a purist) and suggest that if there isn't a hartge built engine underneath, a hartge (or schnitzer, or alpina, etc) valve cover seems to advertise a claim that isn't backed up by the goods.

In case you are blind as well as dumb, there was a "winky" emotifuckingcon in my initial post, indicating my attempt at humor. Since I am relatively new on THIS board, there even followed a "whatever floats your boat" to indicate that I was playing around - as not many people here know me, so I figured they would need extra hints to see that I am playing.

I guess really pissed in your cornflakes there, huh, Chump?

Chris, I swear if I gave my RD valve cover to your dad he'd beat Rich by at least 2 seconds at every event. You know, because of the faster heat dissipation. ;)

Damn, Fred, I totally forgot to take into consideration the heat dissipation factor!

                You are totally right.

I will make you a deal - you give my Dad the cover, and I will take the rest of your engine, and you can have my old M42.

                Sorry to jack the thread.
