Was at the Junkyard Quick Question

Is the 528e Engine exactly the same as the 325e ? '84 528e with '84 325e. I was just going to use it as a parts car.

and can someone put the ECU codes of the ones that are updated for the eta.

Same engine there are some very small differences with bolt on parts like oil pan, the plate where the cold start valve attaches But the Head and Block are the same item so just swap the other parts over from your 325e and it will be fine.

Nice, thats why i love this forum fast response. I'm still contemplating whether or not to do the 325e to i cylinder head swap

      gimme some feedback.

or whether or not to tune the 325e engine to what it is and whatever it is i can with it. and i'm pretty sure i can do it

I head swap onto a stock eta bottom end will yield to low of a Compression ratio. You'll need pistons or deck the head and shave the block.
Tuning the 325e all depends on what you after it will neve be a high HP pure power house but you can make it other things it all depends on what you after.

yeah doing the i to eta, do the 81mm overbore and put bigger pistons like from the 88 325 or 88 528, but i don't feel like doing that. if i do ill take fred's advice and just do a whole engine
