I am in the process of getting a new cone filter to design a custom heat shield around, but there are so many manufactuers I don't know what to choose (universals from K&N, AEM, HKS, Blitz, etc). Granted, I understand that unless the filter gets a steady diet of cooler, denser air free from the scorching engine heat, it won't matter what I get. Any suggestions what to go with, or what's been successful for you?
