I bought a 92 325ic with the hardtop. The car needs some restoration that could be funded by the sale of the hardtop. My question is, would i get more for the car with the hardtop than i would by selling it seperately?

I'd sell it separately. You can get over a grand easily for one. I was even contemplating going out and buying a car with a hardtop, keeping the top and selling the car, just so I can have one for my car. They dont seem to sell for much more when the have hardtops, at least from what I've seen.__________________

Parts for a car will always yield more money than the whole car. A car's value is usually based on the overall condition more so than the accessories and options. I have a parts car that I was able to get for $200 because it didn't run, however, after I used what I needed from the car, I was able to sell off some of the other parts and make my $200 back.
