    Ireland Engineering

Two weeks ago I ordered a front strut brace from these yayhoos. My application called for a narrow bar (they offer two widths). It arrived a few days later and didn't fit. It was too wide. So I took some measurements & gave them a call. Turns out they sent me a standard width bar. A buddy bought it off me so I didn't have to send it back.

I ordered another "narrow" bar and waited a few more days.

Well, the UPS truck just left. They sent me another standard width bar.

    WTF?

These guys can build race cars?

Did you try jacking the car up from the middle of the front subframe?

Is the bar labeled anywhere that it's a "standard" width bar?

What has been discussed is that there is only one width between strut towers, and that some chassis will sag more than others because of how they are driven etc.

Me thinks they advertise two different "sizes", but actually only sell one size, as to convince the customer otherwise.

Site describes two types of stresses that move strut towers. One spreads them and another brings them closer together.

If your issue isn't as suggested above...typical customer service from Ireland. Good parts, lousy support.
I buy all their stuff through Flying Brick and let them deal with IE. Fewer headaches for me, same (and sometimes better) pricing.

you have to have a good reason to make the exact same product as sparco, and sell it for way more.

i've bought 3 sparco bars from rod millen motorsports. $108 shipped.

Well, FWIW I got the Ireland standard bar & it dropped in place, but that's not quite like if I needed the narrow bar.

They did screw up my swaybar linkage as I spoke to Jeremy and clearly stated "M3 application" - I got the normal ones.

Crappy customer service, marginal time from order to getting your loot.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Someone should send IE a message and link them this thread . All this information might help them improve their CS.
