    where do i buy a fan clutch removal tool??

    i called all the local parts stores and they all seem to "not have one" or they just gave up looking for it because i need it for a ...da da dada....BMW


    where can i find one of these useful little buggers so i can fix my overheating issuess

    all you need is a 32mm open end wrench.

    Some folks have found the perfect type at bicycle stores for pretty cheap, I found one at Northern tool- had to grind the head down a bit 'cause it was too thick to fit in the space, but now it works great.

    You need something to hold the pulley still, you can usually just use a screwdriver wedged between 2 of the bolt heads, then whack the wrench that you have on the clutch fan nut- remember, it's reverse thread- so you'll want to turn it to the right as you face the front of the car to loosen it.

      Bought mine at a bike shop. It is a headset wrench.

        Me too. I also made a tool out of flat stock steel to hold the pulley. Makes it very easy.
