trust me, Greg, i hear ya. once i have some time (meaning... when i find a new job that doesn't have me busy from 1:45pm till almost midnight every weekday) i'm gonna look into those advanced rider courses. I started off on the right foot going to http://www.ironstoneventures.com/ right after i got my permit to learn the basics & avoid the common bad beginner habbits, and i wanna keep it that way. the stuff they teach saves lives if you practice it. No doubt about it.

Fridays' gettin closer 8)
got an email from Jeff (the seller) telling me he found a helmet net & some gloves i can have as well. also gave me the VIN number.
i also faxed the info to my insurance co.... gonna meet w/ my agent tomorrow or thursday & she can hopfully get me all set for friday
this week is gonna be the slowest week ever.... isn't it... i am SO.... FUCKING.... EXCITED ;)
and if the weather forecase clears up i'll ride it to NY the day i pick it up for my GF"s graduation & ride back saturday. but as of now that doesn't look like it's gonna happen.... few showers both here & there on saturday, scattered t-storms Sunday :? (though i should be home Saturday night... either way i do'nt wanna fuck w/ rain at my experience level & lack of proper rain gear)-Pete

 HOLY GAWD DAMN THIS BITCH IS FAST!!!
Picked her up yesterday & took a nice long hour + ride home. I got my first biker wave from a guy on a Harley... he waved & for a split second i was like "why is this dude.... OHHH YEAAAHH.... I'M ON A BIKE, TOO!!!" ;)
while on the highway "racing" my buddy in my Eta i got it up to 125 in a flash & it still had 2 more gears & plenty of legs left.... though i doubt i'll ever use those legs. And my buddy swears i got the front end off the ground for just a split second at one point while tearing up a back country road
keep in mind this is when there was no other traffic to keep an eye on, so the bike had 100% of my concentration & respect. I have a feeling that the craziness i did yesterday is gonna be about the extent of my craziness while i own the thing........................ of course i say this now, when the bike is at home in my garage 3.5 hours away from where i am right now ;)
I'll take some pics sometime & post em up. i can't tell you guys how excited i am about this thing 8)-Pete
