    BMW Cupcakes???

    Well, first a little background, my birthday is coming up this week. My good friend Kathy who I work with is also retiring the same day after working with the city for over 23 years.

    Kathy is an awesome person, she butts heads with the managment sometimes and doesn't take any shit. My kind of girl.

    Part of the reason she is one of my favorite people is because she drives an 05' Z4 2.5. I know its only a 2.5 but it is a 5-speed, how many 50+ yo women do you know who drive stick? not to mention a BMW, and do it well?

    Anyway, I come to find out last week that not only is it my birthday but it is also the Z4's birthday (of course I don't know if it was really the day it was assembled, but regardless its the day she took delivery at the dealership.)

    So, we also have this stupid rule at work that when its YOUR birthday YOU are the one who brings in something for everyone. I guess its there to make sure no one's birthday gets forgotten, don't you just love work place politics?

    So to buck the system I've decided not celebrate MY birthday, but that of my good friend's BMW along with her retirement.

    Am I completely nuts?

                  Nope, not completely nuts. A few years back, before he moved to Texas, I made Jordan a Roundel cake for his birthday. It was fuckin tight. It had like 2 inches of frosting on it for all the colors and lettering.

                          I had a Roundel cake at the rehearsal dinner before I got married......... that was 10+ years ago- most of you guys were still in diapers then. ;)

                            You could draw the oval on them and make the background white, or just do the stars!

                            My friend had a Subaru cake for her birthday once. She had a photograph of a rally car printed on rice paper and they put it on the cake. It's really weird eating a photograph.
