hahah seriously im not leaving anything out, it wasnt suspended, i have been pulled over in that period in which they said it was suspended, cause i remember we moved to the new house in that time and i got pulled over for not tying stuff in the bed down and was given that little ticket.
They would have said SOMETHING if it got suspended im sure cause they ran my license. FWIW im 22 right now.
My friend got pulled over on a suspended license and they impounded his car for THIRTY days...ouch, it was 80 dollars a day of holding fees lol
2400 for that month to get a beat up civic out? ouch

Yeah, I had to back out of a Geico policy for that very reason. I was rear-ended by a Geico customer right around the time I was up for renewal. Because they were quick with settling the claim and I got a check the next day, I decided to switch. I got a quote online and then I decided to call them to finish my purchase of the policy. After I admitted the accident, they raised my quote an additional $30 a month. Had I known that this would happen, I would have kept my mouth shut. Although it would have been a matter of time before they found out being that they go through great lengths to cross-reference stuff.

Geico asked me about some of my other family members and they wanted me to provide them with the drivers license numbers and insurance carriers of the other people in my household. LOL! Not if that's going to give you an excuse to raise my rate even more!

FWIW, I'm on Met Life & it's $130/mo. for Liabiity + Comp on my '97 Landcruiser, and Liability + Comp on the '88 M3. Both have stated replacement costs of $20K each, none of that BS "come to a comprimise afterwards" crap. I have raised the dollar marks on bodily harm & property damage too, since basic levels are insane low. $500 deduct on my comp BTW.

I don't buy collision, My ARB bumper on the LC is my collision policy, and I don't even have the M3 running most of the time.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

UPDATE: So i called the DMV, they gave me the number to the mandatory action department for any irregularities that may occur, she CONFIRMED that my license is indeed in good standing. She told me at the worst case to get a 5 dollar printout at the DMV 5 miles away and send it in. Man, i dont see how the heck that they screwed my record up reading that if the DMV confirmed what i told them.

-Yeah GEICO is kinda picky about accedents/tickets and such. That's how they keep the rates low.

-You can use some sweet-talking to get a better deal. I've had GEICO ever since I had a car, about three years ago. About a year ago, I got a quote from Progressive. It was cheaper by about $20/mo. So I called GEICO with the intention of cancelling my policy. The lady asked me why, and I told her. She counter-bided Progressive by ANOTHER $10/mo, so I kept GEICO! $30/mo, just like that, with two phone calls.

I'm 20, use state farm and get good driver/student discounts etc.

$52/mo full coverage on the e30s

I've filed one claim, it took some work (mostly convincing them my car is worth more than $10) but they put things right and my rate didn't go up.

Man, fuck you guys that don't live in places like Connecticut. I pay $300 a month for just liability on my 85 5er. Man, I really need to change my provider. Infinity fucking sucks.

I've been with AAA, 21st and progressive and last year switched back to AAA. 21st was cool, until I sold my 03 gti and got an 04 r32 , they wanted almost double in premiums (from 1400 a year to almost 2800 a year) so I swtiched to progressive. I didn't like how they handled 1 claim that I ended up paying for myself out of pocket (rear windshield) and when the renewal came they had the nerve to list it when they didn't pay anything on it. Back to AAA .

300k/100k coverage on both of my cars 06 a4 and 84 318i with 500 deductibles is 120 a month. I am 28, single, clean record. In 3 months i'll find out how much the e30 is by itself + another e30 lol.

I've been insurance shopping for about two months now, and I'm getting damn good at it. Aside from collector car insurance, the company that I've found has the best rates for my car is Amica.

One thing you guys aren't taking into consideration is the amount of coverage you have. If you've got your state's minimum coverages, sure, your rates will be low. If you're covered up to $500,000 for liability, uninsured motorists, etc., your rates are going to be higher.

FWIW, I'm 21, and female (haha, suckers), have a good driving record, and it's $1100/year for full coverage on my iX with $75k liability/uninsured motorist coverage. I thought my rates were insanely high until I started shopping around and no one could beat what I'm already paying.
