    instrument cluster

i have a 1984 318i and am putting it back together but am lost when it comes to putting the instrument cluster back in. I can spot the obvious 2 large hookups but am not sure what else goes where. does anyone have a link or pics to the back on this cluster and what hooks up where? help please.
    cheers

umm, there are connectors. i believe they are color coded. And they should only fit in one connection.

maybe some fell behind the opening?

there is a white connector, a yellow connector, a blue one, sometimes a small black one that goes into the green plug on a cruise control car, and sometimes another small one that plugs into the abs light

There is a little blue one that comes from the speed sensor that plugs into that green thing on the cluster and then there are are 2 pairs of wires twisted together that provide power to the backlights of the cluster.

On an '84 318 I am pretty sure you only have the two, a white and a blue plug on either side of the instrument cluster.

At least this was the case on the junker 318 I took the cluster out of last week.
