E30 M3 SIM-Racing...

Hey fellas, just to let everyone know I came across a great RFactor mod called Race: WTCC 1987 with the E30 M3. Obviously it wasn't called the WTCC back then but I think most folks will appreciate the M3's exterior & handling in this mod....very nimble compared to most cars new & old that are represented in this mod and others. The instrument cluster is odd but beggars can't be choosers ;)

Below is a link to a short vid for the gaming cockpit I've been spending the past year designing and manufacturing in China. A third of the way through the vid you'll see footage of me at Laguna Seca in the M3......it really is a joy to drive even in a racing-SIM ;) Really makes me miss my cab but perhaps this will make the time pass easier until I can be reunited.

cheers golde30....the 19" monitor is fine but I did run the game over a projection system on Sunday and it was a blast :) unfortunately our 42" & 39" plasma's are back at our home in the US, not here in China. Must be an excellent way to play though!

I saw that. they have a new version of it coming out shortly that will include even more cars and course yet still keep the e30 m3 for the '87 edition.

My new computer hardware gets in thursday, so I'll finally have a computer again that can handle these games. that and a G25 racing wheel.

Alarmed Bread, a spec E30 mod would be brilliant....when is it due??

PaintPro, you'll love the G25, it's soooooooooo much better than any off the shelf setup.....but ya still gotta setup the ffb levels and such. I've found for RFactor mods that very low ffb levels feel more realistic.

My cab has E30 M3 geometry, plus a few pounds of course, but the M3 in this game feels similar.....I'm pretty astounded by how well they pulled it off. I'd just like to see better instrument clusters....currently it looks like plywood heheh!
