    m20 chip??

so who makes a good chip for a 325is?? i know it's nothing major, but i see them ranging from $49 to $250 dollars.. my instinct tells me to go with turner motorsports, or bav. auto, or something, but the ebay ones intrigue me a bit, cuz it's just basically a genaric program to enhance fuel/ timing curve, rev limiter, etc.. but i hate to buy off some ghey company, if there's any issue i'm prolly screwed.. so what kinda feedback you guys got?? what's good, whats not??

Mark D, Turner (Jim Conforti) are the 2 highly recommended ones to go with. Both are around $200-$250. If you can find one "used" you can get them for around $150.

I had an Ebay chip (Pro-Formance) in my m42, and it ran really rich. Probably the best chips I have seen are conforti (turner) chips and Mrak Dsylva chips. I currently have a Dsylva one, and it was like a whole new car. Driveability was massivly improved, this being on a '91 318is with an m42. Dsylva is my vote, and the site is http://www.dsylva-tech.ca/. These chips were tuned on the road as well, so the focus tends to be for the best driveability with increased performace on a reletively stock engine.

great. sounds good. already heard about all i need to about the "cheap" chips.. that's what i figured, but if there were others that had good expieriences with them, i may of considered it...

just keep in mind on the mark d that there are several different ones for differnet octane gas and injector sizes along with rpm differences. I am not sure about the jimmy c chips but probably the same. And of course you have to order it for the ecu you have as usual

for sure.. i wish i could see some dyno charts or something, to see if it's actually worth putting like 19lb injectors in or something, or to just keep injectors stock. and i'd prolly go w/ the 93oct program, as that's what i always run anyways..

someone else chime in here but I think if you run the larger injectors you need to do the 027 m30 mass air conversion(w/the m20 board in it) at least or the miller kit. But as I said I am not totally sure and hopefully someone else can confirm this or not....
