    two quick water pump questions

    Water pump....

    1) is it easy enough to replace by myself?
    2) if its not how much would a tech do it for?

    Which of your listed cars are you speaking of, it's pretty easy on either of them anyway. ( remember easy is a relative term ).

      -WP + timing belt/tensener on an m20 is no biggie. 3 hr job for a professional, twice that for a compitant home-wrencher.

      -But like Pinepig said, its all relative.

        All you need is a Bentley and some tools. The first time I did mine, having never torn into any engine EVER, took me 2 good afternoons.

          takes me an hour and 15 minutes... my best time so far, but im getting faster. thats timing belt, tensioner, waterpump, and re-installing and bleeding the cooling system
