shit i can relate to this.
Ever since i got my car a few months ago ive been meaning to keep a full photo diary of its progress.
I am yet to actually sit down and sort through everything into a dated display folder.
Hence a have a butt load of invoices, receipts and photos just building up...
Man i really need to sort through some stuff.


...Not to mention my bedroom is starting to look like a Pick-a-Part.
I've got sterio equipment, rims/tires, seats, interior parts, lights and more shit just sitting over one side being disorganized.

Ive got a thick folder and a flash drive full of images of the basic rebuild of my car. So when it gets hit i can give the insurance company the flash drive and they can tell me that its still only worth 1500.

I write down regular maintenance items in a notebook, but only to keep track of when last fluids, belts etc etc. were put on. I doubt it would make any difference if/when I go to sell the car how detailed my records are.

I have a drawer in my toolbox. It is 11 inches wide by 3.5 deep. Full of paperwork. Any paperwork less than six months old is on a magnetic clip on the side of my toolbox

I keep a spiral ring binder with all my paper invoices etc. It is really just a backup though.

I use computer software to do the real book keeping. CARCare to be exact. It tracks and logs everything you could want, and outputs it in forms that really show the bottom line.
