hey if your wheels are bent bad enough to massage ya at 30 you need the wheels badly...way more than you need a tight shifter...i say get the wheels...then save up $80 and build a ssk like the rest of us with oem parts

and screw oem.. if you ever have to replace anything..go aftermarket and buy a better more performance oriented part since you have to anyways...

my 20 y/o bmw was mostly original. Including control arms. Anything that can hold up for 20 years and a quarter of a million miles is pretty sturdy in my book. plus nothing fits like oem. german oem anyway. screw hondas :finger:

I agree. Also, I recommend using the UUC delrin shift carrier bushing as the stock rubber one will wear out very quickly.

Definitely NOT one of the most intelligent posts ever made on Rev .

Thanks for the responses. I forgot to mention that one (possibly two) of my wheels is bent to shit due to a couple off assholes putting black cinder blocks in the road right over a hill. Steering wheel gives a pretty good massage around 30+mph... I'd love to buy some suspension stuff, but at the moment I need to find another job to pay for that...

    Cheaper too!

    Have you done suspension yet?
I would do the first after all the maintenance bugs are worked out!
Spend the money and do nice springs and shocks!

Should I spend a shitload on a uuc kit or just put my own parts together? As far as wheels go, I plan on getting 16X8 rota slipstreams as they look nice and are more in my budget. Opinions please.
Take care of your shifter issue before going with wheels. I'd rather have a car that works good than a car that looks good but doesn't work good

Use oem parts and replace whatevers worn, much more cost effective than a UUC kit although they are nice units. I used the Z4 2.5 lever and replaced everything that I could think of, it was good enough for me and was cheap.

But the internal bushing in the shift lever makes it flimsy.

I really do not think a brand new OEM BMW lever was going to be that bad. The only benefit of there being flex in a shift lever is if you slam the lever into the gear and flex would cushion the shift a smidge.
Can you PM me with what bushings you sell for the metal console ?
