Ever been the victim of a Hit and Run? - I was last night.

This Sucks - no note - no nothing, took out all the front gril, couple headlights, and bent in the radiator core support, hood, ect...

It's all fixable(I assume) - but it sucks.

I actually saw the guy that did it - large pick up truck with 2 hispantic dudes.

I figure I'm out $500-$1000, all cause shit head can't drive.

(BTW - I'm not going to post any pics, it's breaks my heart too much)

I saw the "shit heads" when I parked, they were getting into their truck - I went inside, and that's when it happened...

Yea, had I goten a plate it would felony hit and run...

I had my camera phone too - don't tell me I have to start taking a picture of every car I park near by now...

I didn't even bother to call the cops - last thing I needed was a conservation with some jack ass.

well, on Valentines day, my buddy and i got hit on the freeway by a Benz. practically Tboned us. and sent us doing 4 360's from the far left to the far right across four lanes. he stopped on the left to look at his car, then takes off. btw it happened in traffic. we were lucky.

I feel your pain. I had a nice big gouge put through the drivers side fender on my Camaro several years ago. It starts below the door handle and doesn't stop intil after the wheelwell where it knocked off a bunch of paint. I figure some mental-defective old bat tried to park next to me, hit my car, and when their car didn't move anymore they just gunned it and pushed through my car. :evil: The body had been absolutely perfect up to that point. :( I'd feel perfectly justified in tracking people like that down and proceeding to total their car by beating it with their dismembered arms.

i was not the owner at the time but did happen to the previous owner, my car was sitting in a parking lot at a stadium and some person in a pick up truck backed into now my car and then sped off. Rear end is all fucked up other then that its a good car.

we couldnt, tire was rubbing. then when we changed the wheel., we didnt realize that we didnt put the oem studs back on, the longer studs were catching the E brake line. didnt figure it out till after we towed the car home.

Insurance - Well I took a gamble that something like this wouldn't happen...

I got the car a few months ago, and was going to slowly bump up the insurance as I "invested" more money into the car...(smart idea right?)

My summer plans included a m30 swap, now that's on hold till I can figure out how much this is going to cost...my guess is $500-$1000...but I know jack about body work...

Yup, my one and only American Car, a 1988 Chevy Corsica in the early 90's...Parked and went to work. When I came back, the driver side mirror got swanked with minor dent on door frame. Some good neighbor left a note with the plates of the car that hit it.

Went to the police station, "female owned car, black Dodge Aries".

In the end, got $ 400 from her insurance co.

Sorry to hear that man, I was almost in a hit and run, but luckily I was at my gf's watching a movie and heard the crash, and than I chased him down after he took off. This happened to my 318iS. Hope it works out for ya.

I just got a hit and run last week. Someone backed into me and took off it was in a parking lot and their was a witness, so they got their license plate and make of the car...THEY ARE SCREWED. Its funny because this is the 2nd accident where someone backed into me within three days. The other accident, someone backed into the side of my car and their insurance company is paying me around 1600 dollars for the damage. So im going to pocket the money and buy an 89 325is
