The steering wheel is OEM but the seats were redone by a well known local shop that's done several cars for me over the years.
As for the leather on the seats, I think it came from happy cows and happy cows come from California.:)
Seriously, I don't know what "type" it is but I could find out.

The same shop did my cloth e30 seats too.

HAHA. I want my seats redone also, but I rather not be sitting on happy cows. That is why I ask. I rather have it done in synthetic leather which is what it looks like you have. But I just wanted to make sure to know what which material you have because I really like it. If you can find out what it is, I will be glad to know.

        Is that OEM cloth ^^^??

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

I mean I know that's an OEM cloth, but I'm curious about were he sourced the cloth to cover the seats and if its OEM BMW cloth, or if there is some look-a-like cloth out there. I realize it is most like BMW expensive ass cloth.

It's sourced out of some place in L.A. and it's not OEM. It's about as dead on a match as I've ever seen though.

Early sport lip (being painted :D), fits onto early ('83-'85) euro and US valences.

Late sport lip, fits onto late ('86-'87) euro and US valences.

It's been standing there for a while... Farbin is holding my tools hostage so I can't swap the plug, which is definitely needed.
