    USCC 2002 ENTRY *rant*

I tried searching, so if this is a repost, sorry.

I know some of you fools saw the 2002 in the last Sport Compact Car issue.
Fuck it, this pisses me off so much, I'm actually going to scan this shit.
I don't know what pisses me off more, that SCC would pit such a welterweight against the monsters, or that an M20 got bored out to 3.2 Liters. yikes.
    Car is hot, though.

    on a more serious note,
I have been wanting to get in SCC for YEARS. (well, any magazine for that matter) But I want to make sure that my car is READY. Burnout, ride of the month, USCC, something. I hope that I can do it in a couple years after turbo etc are finished. Then we can be properly represented.

I think Metric Mechanic claims something recockulous like 260-270 hp for their 3.2 stroked M20 hand grenades. Do the gran tourismo math of headers & intake, and I can see a magical 300 hp figure.

I imagine the engine has a lifespan measured in hours.

Me and M3 Ryan threw a Super-eta 2.8 with i head into 2002. That car was scary to drive (stock suspension)...It's a good swap for the 2002 - it felt a little nose heavy.

srsly. what NA M20 has almost 100 hp/Liter at 9.8 compression?
        oh, that's right. none.

I just got done reading that article like 10 minutes ago! Awesome car but like you said its kind of mouse vs. wolverines contest. I think the z06 is going to own them all.

I don't see what the big deal is. Nothing to get upset over. So they did a 3.2l m20. That's awesome! Maybe they can continue to work on it and find a way to make it stronger. If everyone had the mentality I'm seeing in this thread, we would all be driving around with stock m20's. And as far as them putting it against other faster cars, I would be flattered to be put in the same running with cars like that regardless of how I do.

            My 2 cents.

the article says the M20 is 2316cc, is that true or not? I thought it was closer to 2500cc...?

thats is a little sad... one of my goes too is to do uscc. That 2002 is nice but i have no doubt that my car can outperform it.
