Yeah, with the motor up a few inches it’s no problem at all.

I jacked the one side up the one side of the engine from the ac comp bracket. Only problem now is the motor mount stud wont go back in the hole.. any suggestions?

Even though I got it figured out I’m still pissed.. I have this weird feeling it’s going to be leaky due to the dried up silicon going all the way around...

Why are you guys taking the oil pump off?
because unless you have the motor jacked up a ton on both sides, there is no way to get the pan on/off with that oil pump...no way

To save me time, that's a heck of a lot like what I made - I made the legs taller to do some small amount of articulation, but that's pretty much like what I made back in my Corrado ownership days.

Thanks for posting, saves me some legwork.

Getting the pan on is the easy part.. getting the fucking oil fuckin pump bolted back on with that stupid ass mother fuckin rod in place with no god damn room to do anything is the fucking bitch. I want to shove it down someone’s throat right now. On top of that I have a fuckin college math test tomorrow which I haven’t had any time to for study due to this fuckin piece of shit car that I love and I also have absolutely no way of getting to there. FUCK

i did my first one not long ago. if i remember correctly i unbolted the control arm bushings and kind of pried on the subframe while i slipped the pan in.

    still a massive bitch, though.

If anyone cares I can post a pic, just a total homebuilt tool I made that fits pretty much any car.

so fuckin frustrating trying to get the pan back on. Figured out I just had to move the wheel a little bit since it was hitting a steering hose going to the rack.

Now its even more fuckin frustrating trying to get the oil pump back on...

on top of that all the silicon dried up and I don’t feel like getting it all off.
If I ever do it it on I bet its going to leak like a bitch cause of the dried up shit

Not easy, its a pita, but entirely possible.

undo engine mounts, jack up on alt/ps brackets, stick blocks of wood under mounts, go to work.
