    Heat shield prototype

In effort to kill my Saturday boredom, I cleaned the engine bay and decided to create a heatshield. This is a prototype as I am sure I'll find ways to improve it over time. I have a VERY large K&N cone filter at the moment, which makes fitment rather snug. But I made this shield to work with a new filter I'm ordering. The edging is a rubber weather stripping, but I have a feeling it won't last long. I'm still searching for better alternatives. I'll see what happens from there! Pardon the crudity of the picture as it was taken from my camera-phone.

Yeah, just found that out tonight when I checked the temp. It did drop, but I should have shieled off that area. Hey, it's a protoype. Thanks for the 2 cents, though.
