So here's the deal, my friend has built a gorgeous '87 Porsche
944 turbo with GC coilovers, some other shiny bits and roughly 375hp at the wheels. He is getting another car over the winter (Jaguar something or other) and needs room in the garage so he plans to sell the Porsche. He mentioned it casually to me, not knowing that I've been infatuated with 944s since I was about eight and upon hearing that I might be interested in buying it promptly lowered his asking price as long as he could still help me work on it. This is a HUGE bonus to me because I have only worked on three or four 944s and all have been N/A.
My dilemma is this: Do I Really Want This Car? Can I afford it? No. Would I have to sell my E30 to buy it? Yes. Would I ACTUALLY sell the E30 or keep it as a pimped out DD? Fucking Duh...
I could probably make this happen, he's not putting it on the market until the spring which gives me some time to save up the cash but I wonder if there are other places my money should be spent?
I'd love to hear some input from all of you!
Thanks,
Brendan
