1991 318is trunk lid swappable with '85 318 trunk lid?

Friend needs a new trunk lid, due to dents/holes from a giant spoiler the previous owner had on before. Will a trunk lid from a '85 318 fit on a 91 318is?

They will interchange but were the 85 and 91 318's even offered in any of the same colors??

And while you're at it, take the trunk light out of the old lid and wire it into the new one so you can have duel trunk lights.
