    Vaccum lines and "Seafoam"

Could anyone point me in the right or preferably easiest direction for which vaccum line to suck "Seafoam" into? Thanks a ton...

If you look at the top of your intake manifold on the exhaust side there is a vac line that goes from the manifold to your fuel pressure regulator. Pull the hose off of the FUEL PRESSURE REG. and suck it in a bit at a time. I did it a third of a can per time (three times). I jogged the throttle with my right hand while sucking the seafoam in so the car would not stall out. After a third was sucked in I turned off the motor and let the seafoam soak in for about 10 minutes. Then I started it and smoked out my street.
    Yours truly,

Yep. I did a burnout while my exhaust was smoking. It was very smokey to say the least:o:D.

Which hose do I pull off the FPR; the braided hose going to the Intake manifold or on the other side (rubber hose)?

        *EDIT*

Disregard. I re-read your post and got a clue...

Here's another quick Q: Did anyone else's "Check Engine" light pop on after a dose of "Seafoam" ?

just seafoamed this weekend. no CEL to my knowledge (maybe while i was working with the vac line, but not later).

I may have let it sit too long - probably 25mins or so.

i seafoamed by street bike and got a bit over zealous with it because it liquified all the carbon which then stuck to the inside of the headers and exhaust, which continued to burn for 2 days straight when i drove the thing, smoking at every light.

runs like a top afterwards though!

Update: My CEL (Check Engine Light) went off halfway to the gas station. I imagine it was just being a prat because I had the vaccum line disconnected to run the "Seafoam" through it. Thanks for the input guys.

The car itself runs like a champ now. The throttle response is increadibly nice and after the valve adjustment and two doses of "Seafoam" I can't even hear the damn thing while reving and it gets to 5500rpm (the most I feel comfortable reving to with 232k on the odo.) so much smoother and a tad faster in my opinion. Again many thanks to those that pointed me in the right direction on the vaccum line...

As much as I hate to sound like a pitch man, I'd call it a new car in a can.

Heh, I hate to admit it also, but I've gone out and bought about 15 cans of it for my own car as well as my fiance's '95 525i. Both cars run like champs and it cured alot of problems I wasn't expecting it too...

Where can you get it? I've looked around at various auto parts stores and haven't seen it anywhere.

I found my newly aquired stash of "Seafoam" at Schmucks.. but I did check Autozone and they also carry it as well. Hope that helps...

Its on the shelf in most stores. It just does not stand out like the shiny red gumball in the machine. The printing on the can has not changed in 50 years so it could be easily mistaken for being some crappy additive that does nothing special.
