Depending on where you get your springs and shocks, you can do suspension for $500-$600 (parts only). I think addressing this first is more important than wheels - especially if your suspension is showing signs of wearing (or worn) parts......which now becomes a safety issue.

This car is merely to get me to and from school/work. With the occasional recreational cruise through our scenic mountain and countryside roads. not auto-xing or track or anything...
I definitly don't have enough to get new suspension right now. I think just getting the wheels will be more than enough for now as I really don't even have the money for the wheels right now. The guy is selling them for $1000CDN. There are absolutly mint and hes selling them with 215/4017 pirelli(sp?) tires.

They are heavy wheels, so ride will get worse.

5 minute photoshop, but it gives you an idea.

Edit: Removed the reflector, too. And now it is dropped. OP, if you want a copy of the pic right click and save a copy because I won't be hosting it long. :)

                      Before pic:

I can't stress enough how much you'll be loving life if you do a simple suspension set up first as opposed to wheels. For less than 1k you can have a great streetable setup. Even on hubcappies your car will look better, drive better, and you'll thank me later that you did. Then once you put the wheels on it, your car will be absolute sex.

does it make a difference if i do the suspension first?

because i dont have money to do both, and these wheels wont be on sale for long.

Well if you have your mind absolutely set on getting the wheels, by all means go for them. I just know that when it comes to modding a car(and I know nearly everyone on the board will agree with me) suspension should always come first. It will visually change the look of your car, and will incredibly improve the way it drives. It literally is a night and day difference. Unless all your stock components have been recently replaced that is.

That being said, the number one thing it comes down to is it's your car and no one else is writing the checks for your mods. Just trying to help a fellow enthusiast out with a little bit of personal experience and my I'm very interested to see what will become of your car because it is definitely up there with being one of the cleanest cabrios on the board.
