Wich Softwer to Edit Videos?

I will like to know what softwer can I download free in my pc to edit my vids, I will take some soon of my e30 and will like to edit them in one or two parts. I don't want a complicated system just simple and easy to use, to cut and paste vids and maybe dropp some letter or words in some scenes add a bit of usci ,you know...

anyhow, if I have to pay I will do...but I prefer justa free program to do that... I have Media Player but I think it cannot do that right?

I used Adobe Premiere 6.5

Everything else for the PC sucks by comparison.

Pinnacle is a bit simpler to use.

Newest version is Pinnacle 8.0. Very good stuff.

I'm oso looking for video editing / converting software.

I have a Minolta Dimage 7i digital camera which can take short movie clips, but the problem is that it's in Quicktime movie format MOV.
I'm looking for sofware which can convert the clips to MPG format..

Any help?

I use Nova Developments Video Expolsion - Formerly known as Sonic Foundrys Video Factory. Great, simple $80 program.

I just found my Mega Mixer Cd that came with the Sony Handy Cam, it should edit the videos as well, I will see how it works, if not I will do it with the Windows program in XP version.

I'm using Vegas Video 4.0. Awesome program - it is by no means simple to use though.

I've made a few videos already, and I'm only getting better with it. I just made a video in remembrance of 9-11 for school - turned out excellent. ;)
