    Heatshield?

I bought the sheet metal to make my own heatshield for the CAI but all I have for template is pics grabbed online. I'm afraid that's gonna be a bit tough without any kind of measurements.
Anybody ever made his own? Maybe somebody can give some measurements or template.
    Thanks

ps: I tried the DIY section and couldn't find anything there.

if nothing comes up, I recommend making up

templates from test-fit pieces of poster board.

cardboard. make your bracket that holds your afm first. I made my shield first and had to start all over.

Not mine, I'd love to give credit if I knew who it was.

Why not just run the stock airbox... it works fine and acts as its own heat shield...

This has always been my thinking.

Clearly, the answer is because it is stock.

Swap car guys don't have it so easy, at least that's my POV after doing a swap. If I had a factory airbox intact I'd leave too if I was on my OEM motor.

At least until you hit S14's, but they are one of very few exeptions.

                        Wow nice link:

Also, I didn't know the iX washer tank was different, saves some space:

Yeah, it seems like many use cardboard to make a template and then cut the sheet metal. Problem is that I have ABS and that takes up space on the left front corner so I don't have much room to work with.

Anyody knows where to get some U shaped rubber to slide on the edges of the sheet metal to avoid any vibrations?

I was just about to order a new washer bottle and cooling overflow tank.. Looks like I'm doing an IX washer instead.
