why is that? i know people like solid rather than hinged, but why? is the difference really that noticable? i dont have any other suspension mods (yet) and just want this to help out in conering. Thanks for the tips,
Then why does it make so much of a difference on the E28? Just because it's heavier? And why does a rear strut brace do something on an E28, and not the E30?
the sparco bar is way better than the BMPD bar by a long shot. Once you add the 3rd strut tower bolt and snug them all up, you can tell a major difference even without suspension mods if you have a cabrio. It eliminated my cowl shake completely on my 90 cabrio and when I added the same bar to my eibach and bilstein equipped E30, the difference was noticeable but not dramatic.
I just got my sparco bar in and i didnt do the third hole (as many havent) but im planning on it when i take my struts out next time. Does it make a difference? Also my install went SUPER EASY. all i did was take of the two nuts on either side and drop the bar on, then reinstalled the nuts and went for a drive. HOT SHIT.
i have the BMP bar and i like it just fine. the hinges are for install purposes, once the bar is on you can tighten the hinges, made a huge difference on my old e30 with a good susp, but when i put it on my current e30 with racing dynamic springs and soft shocks, the difference was minimal.
