    MA people: 1986 745i for sale (700$)

Some deff. has to buy this and put the engine into an E30. It is an M30 with a turbo. If I can sell my Suzuki Samaria I will buy it but I don't know how long that will take. This engine produces somewhere around 250hp from what I read.

      Hahaa that might help.
According to what I read, the 745i started out as a 3.2L M102 engine that made 188KW (252HP) and then in 1984 it was made larger to a 3.4L and had 6 PSI of boost but made the same power!

To bad it's an automagical. TCD used to have one of these and it was a factory 5spd.

Oh I know someone with some euro lights and bumpers and airdam for this car.

Will a Getrag 260 from an E30 bolt up to it? I would assume so.

Factory EU car doesn'y look converted. Missing one side so suspect accident.

Not bad, for 700 if it's complete and runs. Wiring thou is old.

Not like I would keep the car anyway. Take engine and send it on its way.

No. A Getrag 260/5 or 260/6 from a 533i, 633CSi, 733i, 535i/s, 635CSi, or 735i will however. Same with the Getrag 265 (ideal for that engine imo), 262, and 280. The M20 transmissions won't fit M30 blocks, and that's what the M102 and M106 both basically are, with oil sprayers added to main journals.

I've inspected an M102 and M106 engine locally, both in cars, and I can tell you that transplanting all of that stuff into another Bimmer, let alone an E30, would be a pain. I'd gladly spend the $3800 on the TCD kit to get way better performance and driveability, in addition to easy installation.
