    Euro side repeaters

So a euro-import e30 popped up locally, but doesn't have side repeaters. What's the verdict on those, did they all have them? Some? Optional? I had always thought the euro's all came with them.

BTW, it's a '86 320i, completed with vacuum advance dizzy cap ignition.

I got a brochure of the 85 euro 3 series lineup and none of them have the side repeaters on them.

i thought euro spec cars had them because they had no side markers??? so the repeaters double as side markers and blinkers?

IIRC this was correct. My 83 323i has them.

You mean like these? I thought they where e36 peices hacked into my fenders, thus I will be getting new fenders without ungodly holes and shit in them.

UK and Italian BMW's did. No German. I have a set of those never wanted to drill holes.

I wish I had a set for my E30. It's good for safety since there's nothing else to let people know you're changing lanes if they're beside you. Plus the smoked ones look hawt 8-)

I believe they came only on the plastic bumper E30. I had both and only my 318I 1989 had them on

You can rewire your side marker bumper lights to blink.

I'll try to find the write-up and post the URL

Edit: I believe the write-up is on http://www.bmwe30.net/ but the site is down at the moment.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up on German vs. Italian & British. I just seemed that every e30 i've ever seen in Europe (I go once a summer for a couple weeks) had side repeaters. Anyway, the search continues.

That's cool, I was thinking that it would be possible. However, I spliced the side marker wires to power my city lights, and blacked out the markers themselves to give a "euro" look. That is, until I get euro trim.

I think the euro side repeaters look better personally, but that write-up will most likely help with that install as well, so thanks.

Look at www.e30zone.net Brit site and then review e30.de
