    Damn glass...anyone had this happen?

Sooo I step out of my car, close my door (I do not slam the door, just close it like I usually do.) And suddenly I hear a crack. Followed by the gorgeous sight of my drivers side window slowly fragmenting and then beautifully falling to the ground. The entire damn window busted. I don't know how. All I know is that its a pain in the ass. Anyone EVER had that sort of thing happen, because it baffles me. I honestly didn't slam it, and the window had no signs of damage whatsoever. O well. Junkyard for 4 door window.

really cold or hot? Maybe a small crack that you never noticed got rubbed the right way?

My rear window on my S4 shattered randomly. I think it has a lot to do with hot/cold.

I've also heard rear winshields can shatter because electric defroster gets stuck on when the car's off.

when you release your set belt do you do it quick or carefull
if quick most of the time it will whack your window sending small chips and when you shut it once it will crack
            i had that

I am near positive that I didn't see a single crack while it was up. Could have been misaligned when I was messin around under the door panel with the guide rail thingys on the window motor. But I don't slam it with my belt either. It was balmy 70 degrees outside. I guess it was either old age or maybe misaligned.
