So Kellie has been bugging me to find a Halloween costume, since it's her favorite time of the year and all. Finally I caved in and looked around online today. I found some cool ones, including a Ricky Bobby Talladega Nights racing jumpsuit. After calling two local stores, I found one that had it.
As we were getting ready to go out to the store and pick up the costume, I had an idea to get some multicolored electrical tape and do-up the E30 to match my costume for Sunday's BMWCCA autocross. After thinking the idea over a bit more, I decided to call a vinyl graphics shop and see about getting some raw vinyl which I could cut by hand...
So we stopped at the vinyl place and I told them what I had in mind. Instead of raw vinyl, maybe I'd just have them die-cut the stickers for me. The hood was to be 36" wide and the doors 24" wide, then 8" wide for the helmet. I asked them if they could cut them same day, since I needed to install them tonight. They said yes. I said how much. They said $80 total. I said "doowit."
And so I give you Ricky Bobby's E30...
