    help< removing paint >pics

this touchup paint is like 3-4 years old and was never treated to make it smooth, so I want to remove it and then redo it so it looks nice. But i dont know how to remove the paint, any suggestions?? I want to use the touchup pen and then get some of the Langka stuff to smooth it out ( is that a good idea?)

(dont know how to add pics here soo here is a link)

It's difficult to "redo" just a tiny area, do the whole door or not at all.
I suggest you try polishing the area first and see if it is satisfactory. A paint job is not easy for the DIY person with no experience and costs $$ to let other people do.
If that picture is even remotely similar to what the rest of the car looks like, I think a good polish will do it good.

that touch up paint isnt even the same color. not even close.

Getting the entire door repainted would cost like $200 or so.

Getting the entire surface of the cars paint cut and polished ( so it isnt horridly swirm marked and scratched) to match the newly repainted door would be like $250 or so.

ya my mom did that a while go
I found a website that has exact paint for a black 87 bimmer....but my dad said that there are porbably thousands of colors of black, even if i get the right color, theres a chance it wont match

as for the polish, If i do it buy myself and zainos it for about 3-5 coats would that work? Im not sure i want to take it to a shop and have it done, a little pricey, but would it be worth it at all? If I do spend that I wont have enought to get that front spoiler and the cleaning products I'm looking to get.

I have 3 years of professional auto detailing experience. Applying Zaino by hand is completely pointless with paint as horrid as yours. It needs to be polished by a high speed machine buffer and a experience operator.

What do you lose in trying? He gave you his, pretty much, expert opinion. If you're so set on using a little elbow grease, why dont you just do it?
