Yeah as far as i know they are JDM only. I'm glad to hear nothing was damaged during the delivery. I still cant believe i sold these things in less then 24 hours. Well now i'm on a hunt for my third e30, so i can stick all these random rare parts in it.

    Hey Dave!

Yeah, the boxes were beat on (expected), but all in all they were just as you described. I was real happy with them once I peeled 'em all the way apart, fixed the stitching & gave them a good Resolve & shop vac cleaning. I still need to install new hip foam, but they are going to be bitchin' seats for my LC.

I've seen like 3 other sets of those in local BMW's - Mitsubishi Evo's must be nearly extinct in Japan the way their parts (seats anyhow) are migrating to America. Those were JDM only, right? I don't know anything in the Mitsubishi world.

I'll post pics once I put them in the Cruiser.

Thanks again - I'll look for your name in the transaction forum & leave you a good one.

Sport Evo's got SR's - kind of a SRD base with a Speed upper headrest.

Not the best pic, but gives a better idea of Evo cloth on a SRD profile seat:

Thanks Chris - I thought I knew what I was saying, or parroting off the gal I deal with, to put it more accurately.

From the wait time it took to fill my order it was a bit of an ordeal for her the last time I bought hip bolster foam, and her reason was that it was a "dead stock" kind of part, and that was the way SRD specific parts were since it wasn't a current model.

Ben you're still correct. Once Speedware sells their stock, the SRD is done. (unless you find some at another retailer that may have left overs). The Speed is the replacement in the Recaro lineup, you won't find SRD listed on the Recaro home page.

Wow, I was told SRD's were dead & Speedware did a 1 time 1 shot deal of buying 100 sets like 2 years ago, and that was the end. I got that from my gal at Recaro who gets me parts. Guess she was wrong, and she's normally a dead shot. I was confident quoting her.

I am wrong, forget what I said before.

I'm shorter & probably as round as Ted, I'm 6'0, 210. Breaking a set of SRD's in isn't a painful experience. If you get them used (no more new ones left I heard), then they already have some degree of 'break-in' done.

    Fatasses!

    :O

Seriously I love my SRDs, but will be going to a set of fixed-back Cobra Suzukas or Imolas soon.

The 5th belt hole was an option. Original SRDs came in white lettering, later the LEs were red, and you could get black lettering. Never came in anything other then black Avus fabric, that is where the Speeds have much more in the option department.

These also come with the extra hole for the 5 point. Im not sure if all srds come with that?

I believe its srd's im going to get. Im going to try to talk the guy down to like 800, they are mint though. they are plane cloth, I was wanting something fancier. They also come with red lettering. I found a new set for 1000 not shipped or sliders or brackets ext. Its kinda like its a couple hundred more.. but then for another couple hundred more i can get this. then im looking at a set of 1600 dollar seats which i could get just basic ones for 800.
