Where To Visit In UK(car related)

Where To Visit In UK(car related)

I am planning a vacation in UK/London later this year. Any suggestions of where I should visit(while wifey goes off shopping). I am currently going through the web and found :- http://www.motorbooks.co.uk/about.asp

Motorbooks seems to have a wide variety of books.Any other motor/auto book specialist? What about old/second hand magazines/books? Car musuems? Car fairs? Bimmerfest fest? Anything of interest to a car buff like me. Thanks

Visit the TVR factory in Blackpool! There's also a cool castle in Dover.

The new Mini plant? But I would of suggested the TVR plant or Jag. On a side note visit the Royal Warfare Muesam in Duxford. A excellant place to go if you like aeroplanes.

a visit to England for car stuff would be incomplete without a visit to the worlds first motor racing circuit, Brooklands.....link below:

Aviation and motoring museum, Brooklands Museum: the birthplace of British motorsport, aviation, and home of Concorde.

Isnt ///M headquaters or some really important facility from them in the UK? That'd sure be a nice place to visit.

Duxford was home to our Army Air Corps during WWII and is a fabulous place to visit as they have one of the largest vintage aircraft collections in the world from pre-WWI to the modern jet-age. It's really a must see.

Brooklands was also home to Aviation in the UK so you'll get a taste of both Motorsports & pre-WWI Aviation.

I'll be over in early September.

I have to plan my itenary carefully not to annoy my wife. She thinks this car thing I have is nuts.So I cant really over do it.

Our time mainly would be for sight seeing in London.I am just hoping to sneak some visits to showrooms/car musuems/car bookshops.

Also be visiting my bro in law who will be in Leeds. So I guess I'll get to visit Scotland too.
