Funny how you don't see many old Fords that often in EU. That Cortina must be loved as most are now coffee cans.
Are you talking about the car in this pic?
That looks like a MkI Escort RS2000 to me. They've very popular in vintage rally circles. There are many enthusiasts out there. But you're right about the Corina. They're only good for stripping off parts to build Lotus 7 clones
you dont see very many older fords in the EU because sometime in the late 60s-early 70´s all of the Ford buildings burned to the ground. all of the parts and the dies were all lost. so it is REALLY hard to find ford parts from that time. My nephew bought a really cool FORD Taunus coupe a few years back that he wantéd to restore, but due to the fact you couldnt find ASNYTHING for the car it was sold to the next clueless person to "restore" was ashame cause it was a really "cool" looking car.

cool pics Josh!
Koln was a big Ford Plant area correct?
Aren't there still UK spares left?

It's a shame you guys sold the car! The Ford Taunus was produced under license in Turkey all the way into the 1980's. You can still find parts there.
