Dunno man, I am not one to tell people what they shouldnt do (ha!) but that shit is horrible. Its like street racing. i really dont care if you kill yourself because that is your biz but there are other people on the road.

Not to mention its soo hard on your car for soo little glory.
      Im now E30less.

I remember I used to catch air in my little '87 Subaru beater, but that was out on dirt roads, and I didn't care if I fucked it up. You really shouldn't do that kind of stuff in cars like these, they just aren't made to take that kind of stress.

I would say its not the smartest thing to do. But i can really say anything because i use to own an 87 cavalier thats seen a jump or two. The best launch the car saw was about a 20 to 30 foot distance about 3 feet in the air it was on dirt. It was an auto, and when the car landed it tore the transmission pan right off. Drove it home like that (couple of miles), put a new pan on car ran mint. I've never seen a car put through more abuse then this cavalier and take it. I had this car for about a year, and it was put the ringer everyday. Things were done to that car that you wouldn't believe.

Cavaliers are drift kings! At least my friend's is, because he doesn't care what happens to it :P

I've caught air riding with my friend in a civic. He didn't even warn me, I smacked my head on the roof soooo hard.

I would say that judging by the rest of this kids' posts, that this "airborne" thread should not come as a surprise.

I got my dads civic airborn one time. I didn't see the speed hump and hit it going 60.

Getting airborn in Ohio is easy.

Up by Toledo and Fremont their are huge ass launches where the train tracks cross the streets. For some reason the train needs to be about 3 feet higher than the road. So the road makes a 3ft tabale top in about 10-15 ft of road. It is awesome!

Where would you have done this? There are no places with speed bumps where you can (or are supposed to) drive 60mph.

wtf? that is just plain dumb. i can't imagine putting my baby through something like that. you're sick

I put a steering damper on my bike to prevent headshake (what happens when the front wheel gets cocked while in the air, or if you hit something). And even still, I try to prevent the front wheel from coming up as much as possible. And this is on a bike! i can pull the throttle in almost any gear and stand the bike right up

and you go looking for places to "catch air" in your car? thats so fucking stupid

not to mention you could have totalled your car without even hitting anything

a guy was gonna give me his ported and polished 240z head for free. why? cause he had a couple beers in him, and wanted to impress this chick. so he got airborn. and what happened? the car fucking bent in half. not a lot, he said you probably could barely tell by looking at it. But since it was bent, the car was totalled, and there went his 15k investment (he had this thing built VERY nicely).

I believe in darwinism. So I say- if that's what you want to do, continue what you're doing.
