Driving in snow

RWD's do fine in the snow. The first year i got my firebird, i drove it that winter. And it's a 300+hp car.

All seasons can work, just be careful in corners. But ur driving a 318iS which technically should handle less twitchy than a 325i.

I also don't have winter tires (financial limitations)

You may get around, but i'll tell you this - after two winters on allseasons in the e30, i got some decent snow tires last season. I was out-handling, braking, and accelerating 4x4s, SUVs, quattros, subies, and just about anything without tank treads... never once did I get crossed up (unless I was trying) nor did I get stuck. I'll have proper snow tires on every car I ever own from now on.

I am planning on making a few trips up snowboarding this summer in my car. I have some all season tires on my car and am somewhat nervous driving rwd in low temperatures with possible snow. I know snow tires are ideal, but do you think all seasons will be alright?
