    Operation 3.73 Complete

Today i installed my 3.73 LSD into my eta. Car is a bit more fun to drive now even though i havent really done to much driving around as i need to fill it up with gas and im out of money so ill wait for a couple days to really take it for a test run. So far highway isnt too bad and driving around town is just fine also.

I cruise around town now in either 4th or 5th depending on my speed. Car is a bit easier to chirp off the line. other then that the car is fine just moves a bit quicker off the line.

I think i put it into 5th at about 55 or 60 mph and it revs at about 3500. I didnt really look when i shifted its all natural to me now that i forget to look at the tach.

Alot of you say 1st gear will be gone well it really is not. 1st gear will still be there just a bit shorter so instead of shifting at 20 mph you will be shifting at about 10-15 mph not a huge difference. Matter of fact i cruised around parking lots in 1st gear with no problem. Creeped off the line in 1st before i put it into second. Basically all gears are stil lthere and usuable just a tiny bit shorter.

I dont think its much of an overkill unless you are that type of person that wants to be an Eta Racer and race around town doing 100+ and on highways my top speed now is probably 100 if even that but i dont really need to be going any faster then that so it doesnt bother me.

      have fun.

I ended up with a smashed knuckle, smashed it between the part the connects to the driveshaft and the rocky cement driveway.
