    electrical problem

    Hey guys,

I am having a problem with my newest e30. The guage lighting fluctuates with the rpm's, being quite dim at idle. Also, the blower does the same thing, quite drastically. Random lights also come on at times when it's cold (such as in the morning), such as the oil light (I JUST changed the oil) and the ABS light.

I replaced the alternator about a month and a half ago (before the problems occured), but it seems to me that it is a case of insufficient amperage for the electrical components. Now the only ideas I have are:

    1) because the previous alternator was driven right to its death, the existing battery was killed as well, now fails to recharge properly
    2) A bad ground or loose main connection.

ANY ideas or imput are greaty appreciated, thanks so much!

sounds like an alternator, voltage regulator, or battery problem. I would take the car somewhere to have a test done on the battery/charging system. Hell, i would even to go sears and have them do a quick test on it.
