The 265 was from the 55-57 period. The 262 was late 70's, early 80's Monza, Caprice. This one was labeled a 4.3.

Remember he is in Denmark so choices are probably VERY limited for bowtie engines hence the two speed powerglide. That is such an ancient box.

LOL that old 4.3 V8 has to be one of the worst choices to use for a V8 swap. And to add insult to injury, its backed by a powerglide. An M50 swapped car would give it a run for its money.

            its a 283ci V8. came in plenty of mid-late 60s Chevys too---impala for ex.

here in Germany, also Europe, the OPEL diplomat in the 60s had that motor in it, so it is alot easier to get in europe.
and to talk smack on a powerglide 2 speed is pretty stupid! If he is using the car for drag/bracketracing, you couldnt have a more perfect trans.
and the color is just a primer color, and yes, the car is VERY ugly!

It's as if the bastard child of the Golden Gate Bridge decided it wanted to be a BMW, and then have a sex change.
                tasty

I see a ricey body kit, snow tires, stock interior, and a lack of a cage of any kind. Nothing about that car indicates that its anywhere near the power level where it would benefit from a powerglide.:loco:

you dont need power to bracket race. it is about holding steady times.

and snow tires in the snow, and an interior dont mean anything in terms of power of a motor.

now dont get me wrong, I also think the car LOOKS like crap too.

If it was more stock looking and had a v8 rumble to it, i would drive it.
