Will a front quarter panel off of a pre 89 e30 fit on a post 89 e30?

umm quarter panels are on the rear and fenders are up front
but the answer to your question is yes they will fit

Since 88+ cars had the big tail lights and the pre's had the small.

it is on the front quarter of the car.... there is nmothing wring with calling it a front quarter panel.... same with a rear fender
