    ETA 1/4 mile times?

So, i went out to the drag racing track and put in a couple runs. This was my first time, so I really had no idea on the car set-up. I just wanted to know what kind of times others put out with a similer car. Mine is a stock ETA with no weight removed, but with an almost empty tank (87 octane, if it matters). My best run was 17.460 in the 1/4 with the reaction time of .730, and the best reaction time that I got all night was .093 but then i missed the shift in to second and messed-up the run.

I love it, an eta owner who can dump on himself. Priceless. :D

That's not bad... my ETA with a Jim C chip; and 17" wheels; 17.2 1/4 time...

You'd have more fun where the car really shines; AutoX.

yeah, I'm going to my first AutoX on the 20th of this month.
On the drag strip I think I could have done better if had taken a couple PSI out of the back tires, because I was spinning through most of first gear. I also had a chance to race against a 325i E36 auto, with Dinan "software". He ended up blowing the doors off of me.

I did it - at around 2300 ft - and got 17.15 sec as my fastest.

I don't care for drag racing, so I'll spend the money at an autocross instead.

Oh, forgot to mention I had a Jim C chip too. Fastest reaction was .218 I think.

Ryan, that's not too bad.... For a lowly Eta.

Yes I thought it was a respectable time, especaily since that was my first and only time at the track and had no idea what I was doing.
