It's actually relatively straight forward. Not so much difficult as it is tedious.

Plus, at $49.95 without tax or shipping you'd probably be better suited purchasing a crack free dash for an extra $25-50 more and enjoying the knowledge gained during the swap process. Good luck.

            Amendment to my previous post:

I neglected to see the source of which you were going to purchase the cover from, I automatically assumed you were getting it from Bav Auto. At $87.95 without tax or shipping you are definitely better off just buying a crack free dash and taking a dive into the swap process.

I agree just get a replacement dash and gain the knowledge of the whole swap process. If not over time you will know the crack is still there and if you are OC, it will drive you crazy!

My 85 had one of those covers on it when I bought it. They are total trash.

I swapped in a crack free dash and love it.

Here you go Rookie..... ( just playing )

Here is the dash that you need. $75

And here is how to put it in!

Hope that this helps. Oh and FWIW, I have done the swap in my car with stereoinstaller. It was easy but very tedious.

looks like people jumped on this one already :P i am a rookie i guess i have to find another place to buy it :(

I think if i find a used one with no cracks i might have it wrapped in leather or alcantara to prevent it from cracking.
